  • Step 1: Plug a mini USB cable into your Zoom H6 and power it on.

  • Step 3: Go to settings and menu and scroll down to USB, and press.

  • Step 5: Select PC/Mac. However, if your computer does not provide enough power through the USB port or is using phantom power, select “PC/Mac using battery power.” If you use the recorder’s batteries as a power source, select “iPad using battery power.”
  • Step 6: At this point, your Zoom H6 is in the audio interface mode. Open your Adobe Audition tab and move to Preferences.
  • Step 7: Scroll to Audio Hardware. From the new window, you will see default input.
  • Step 8: Click the downward arrow and select your Zoom H6 audio interface. If you cannot find the H6, close Adobe Audition and restart your computer with the H6 plugged in. Once Audition is open, you should find your microphone.
  • Step 9: Select the H6 and start recording via Adobe Audition.

Remember: Zoom H6 has two different USB audio interfaces; multitrack and stereo. The device sends a two-channel stereo mix of all inputs to your computer using stereo mix mode. The feature is ideal for video conferencing or live streaming.
